The Plane

The Plane - the action thriller released by Lionsgate Films, had Pixel Magic using 2D and 3D methodologies to achieve realistic set extensions to make it appear that the crew landed on a deserted jungle island. As shown in the reel to the right, careful rotoscoping and tracking were combined with our CG foliage to transform these shots into reality. This is another example of a film shot off shore in a tropical environment, but still able to leverage the tax credits offered by Louisiana if the minimum spend is met.
